«Cuando comparas al Ecuador con el resto de países en Latinoamérica, las tasas de crecimiento en el uso del teléfono para navegar y redes sociales son muy altas. Encontramos que es una buena oportunidad para promover el desarrollo de aplicaciones en los teléfonos», dijo Alejandro Fuquen, gerente de marca en Colombia y Ecuador para Nokia.

Los mercados principales para una de las firmas más importantes de telefonía celular en el mundo son Quito y Guayaquil, dentro de Ecuador. En estas ciudades los smartphones son los más vendidos. Según Fuquen, los jóvenes entre 18 y 25 años son quienes están impulsando el uso de esta tecnología en el mercado.
